Top Local Tips for St. Louis

Use the Metro DO NOT STAY DOWNTOWN!!! You can use the hotels shuttle service or airport service to get to a stop for the metro, and an all day pass is around 3.50, for one week is not much more. Downtown is dangerous and dirty at night...it is great to visit during the day though. The metro will go directly to the Arch, Union Station, the zoo, and nearly anywhere you want to go. If you don't need a rental car for other reasons, avoid the cost!

Activities There are so many great things to do within thirty minutes of the hotel. The zoo is free!

Great Metro system! If you are just going to sightsee, there is no real need to rent a car. The Metro goes to most sites in town, and if the train doesn't take you directly, there is a bus stop near the train stops that will take you wherever you need to go. An all-day fare is just $4.50 and is good for train and bus travel.
