Top Local Tips for Kansas City

something for everybody There litterally is something for everbody in K.C. If you like BBQ try Jack's Stack for ribs, Arthur Bryants for Brisket or BB"s Lawnside for Ribs or pulled pork. BB's is also a Blues joint and has some good music. It's a little hard to get to but worrth the effort. If it's Jazz you're after try Jardine's. They have music nightly and an ecclectic menu from BBQ to greek and italian or the Majestic steak house. If you like red meat try the Plaza III, it's close to the hotel and world renown. For steak and seafood try the Savoy Grill. For some good italian try Lidia's or my favorite Cascone's. Enjoy!

WWI Museum and Monument are a must see The WWI museum is very well done. It is the only WWI musuem in the country.

The airport is a long distance from this hotel the Country Club Plaza area Rent a car if you are going to use it - it is an expensive taxi cab ride. I was meeting up with a group of people for another destination at the airport on another day and didn't need a rental car. The hotel arranged for the airport bus to pick me up. It was much cheaper.
