Nelson-Atkins Art Museum This is one of the finest smaller art museums I have seen anywhere in the United States. It's Asian collections are absolutely amazing--much wonderful painting from China; and a fantastic recreation of a room of South Indian style with temple figures. The western and classical art is good too. The cafe in the interior court--run by volunteers mostly--offers a nice place to recharge the feet; and the gift shop in the striking new addtion is superior.

Best BBQ Try Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ at 101 W 22nd Street. Possibly the best barbecue in the world.

Got Beer? Head to the Flying Saucer! Head to the flying saucer to try one of the more than 200 different brews in house. The place is always busy, and has an extremely friendly vibe!
