The hotel was very disappointing. I don't know if I have ever stayed at a hotel that looked and felt that old. It smelled, the room was extremely small, and the service staff was rude. 'Won't due it again. I hope you wanted our honest opinion.

Top Local Tips for Kansas City

Prepare for HOT in August I was here for a week in mid August. The cool day was 100 degrees. We saw 108 for the high on one day. This would probably have been a better trip to make in October after the weather cools down.

Go to Jardine's on Main! This was the cutest little jazz club where they serve dinner and a show. There is no cover, just come in for dinner or drinks. I was staying at the 'Holiday Inn at the Plaza' and found this place right across the street so I didn't have to drive. Very cool, hip, old-school jazz and all the people working there were fun and down to earth! I highly recommend this place! www.jardines4jazz.com

Cleaner than St. Louis. The Country Club Plaza area was nice and offered a safe sense of feeling. However, when I left the following afternoon, I noticed that it would not be comforting to venture too far away from the area, as there were homeless people begging for money and a sense of feeling a little out of my element.
