Enjoy Branson for less Branson can be as expensive or inexpensive as you choose. The OmniMax Theatre is great for families. Food from any of the vendors can be taken inside. Many of the shows have family plans. Kirby Van Birch is great for kids. Jim Stafford is HIGHLY overated. Try to eat where the locals dine. Food is good and moderately priced. Try Danna's, Odie's BBQ, several good Mexican restaurants. Sunday Brunch at the College of the Ozarks in extraordiary and worth the splurge. There are so many things to do. We visit numerous times per year yet hardly ever see a show or visit an amusement park. Pointe Royale is perfect for families. Outdoor pool is awesome. For Winter the Splash Country Inn is good and has about anything you need within walking distance. Lots of coupons in Branson. Pick up some books & brochures before you buy anything. Branson Landing is expensive but so unique & wonderful you will forget. Just feed the kids before you go. Watch the free water show at night. Enjoy.

Enjoy Branson on a Shoestring or with a Gold Card Branson is often thought of to be expensive. Well it can be! Branson can also be enjoyed on much less. Plan in advance. Read the reviews for the many "tourist traps". Speak with other travelers. Many shows offer family packages. Choose carefully. Kids often don't like shows. Coupon books are everywhere. Find some before you ever exit the hotel. I recommend the Branson VIP coupon book. One coupon will pay for the book. Watch channel 6, the vacation channel. While somewhat boring, many things aren't what you think. A good tip is how long has the show, restaurant, etc. been in business? To save money skip the chains, There is not a better place than Danna's Hamburgers. Odie's BBQ. MMMNNN! Now The Cantina Laredo is worth every dime, the Candlestick Inn, Tony Z's. Fill up with gas before you get to Branson. Movies are a great family bargain in Branson. I could write on this subject for hours. Enjoy Branson this summer, memories are forever.

Silver Dollar City tip Visit Silver Dollar City (SDC) after 3 p.m. on one day and you will be admitted the next day with the same ticket... make sure you take advantage of the concert in Echo Hollow at SDC after the park closes.
