Perfect for my little family

from A TripAdvisor Member
We will stay here again. My daughter and I were very pleased with our stay here that consisted of 5 days, 4 nights. Housekeeping and maintenance staff at this hotel are waayyyy above average. Our room was very clean, including the bathroom as were the halls, lobby, pool and breakfast room. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, check in and out were very smooth. The breakfasts were fresh with lots of choices and a pretty good supply. However, the lady that was to keep everything filled up in the breakfast room was a bit grouchy when asked for more of something. My daughter loved the pool area and there were always fresh towels. The game room was lacking, one pool table and one old video game. But we still used them:) There is only one elevator which is kind of a downfall if u r on the 4th floor, but we just tried to time ourselves to be before or after the general rushes. Parking was very nice. I only have two major complaints. We had to have our room keys reprogrammed at least once a day. The doors from the parking lot can only be accessed with your room key, even when our key was working the door locks were not. We met many other people having the same problems. This is very frustrating when your arms are full of things or late at night. These need work! But, since all the good things this hotel provides and the fantastic location outweigh the bad, we will be here again soon!!

Two Thumbs Up!

First time in Branson. Rooms were $53.99 per night. (Off Season). March 15th. to 19th.
Stayed from Wed. to Sunday night and couldn't have asked for a better value for our $$. Excellent location.
Rooms were clean, bright and roomy.
Hotel layout was excellent.
Only drawbacks were server at the continental breakfast may have been having some bad days. She was less than enthusiastic about refilling basic items they were out of.
However this wouldn't stop a return visit.
Good job!

Good Location

from Titans65
This is just your average Best Western. The location was good and not in the crowded part of the town. Staff was friendly. The only bad part of the Hotel is that it only had one elevator. With the big bus groups going in and out hotel, the elevator could be crowded at times. If you are staying here, try to get a second floor room. This will eliminate the need to use the elevator.

Good place to stay

Our trip in mid August was our second stay at this hotel. Both times were pleasant. Check-in was smooth, quick and it was easy to obtain Silver Dollar City Tickets at the gift store. The room was clean and the size was good. Bathrooms were clean and there were many cable channels offered on the TV. The hotel had high speed internet access and the data jack in the phone worked fine as well. The pool was not large but a good size for under 6~7 people. After that, it gets too crowded. The whirlpool and sauna were nice too. Towels were supplied at the pool area. A few minor things I didn't like: There is only one elevator in the middle of the building. If you get a room on the 4th floor, you'll be waiting when the elevator is busy. The game room consists of a pool table and one old race video game (pole position..maybe) and that's it. Finally the shampoo supplied at the hotel smells like something from the 50's. Not the kind of smell you would want your significant other to release when she flings her hair. Both times our family spent there were good. I think they are consistent and we will probably stay there again.

Great place to stay.

We stayed 6/21/05 for three week nights. Location was great; there were very few traffic problems. We could see the large tethered Balloon from our window. Everything was clean, neat and the staff was great. We booked our tickets in the gift shop ahead of time and had them waiting for us when we arrived. The pool and hot tub was indoors with soothing music, a sauna, extra bathrooms and a large cart of towels. The breakfast was always fresh and refilled quickly when needed. The price was affordable.

#1 for the family

from A TripAdvisor Member
This is our 2nd time staying here and we love it. This is the cleanest hotel I have seen. The floors are always spotless, the rooms were very clean and the service personnel are the friendliest people! Even the housekeepers and handymen said "Hi" to us! You feel right at home! We loved the indoor pool (especially the kids) and the hot tub (for us adults) and sauna. It was nice that the pool was open until midnight every night, so the kids were tuckered out by the time we hit the bed! Also, they leave the breakfast area open all the time with coffee always brewed so we could grab a drink while we were at the pool. They also had a machine that made cappucinos, cinnamon vanilla and french vanilla hot drinks which was a bonus! We love the fact that this is on the "red route" (Shepherd of the Hills Expressway) which is off the main strip so we didn't have to fight traffic for 1/2 an hour before we got to our hotel. The hotel is christian-owned and operated which we appreciated. This definitely will be our one and only choice to stay at for all our future Branson trips!

down home nice!!

We recently stayed here on a weekend family getaway. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was curtious and helpful with whatever questions we had about the inn or the Branson area. When in Branson I would stay here again.

What a Joke!

from A TripAdvisor Member
Very dissapointed in everything. The pool was closed for some reason.
The room smelled when we first went in. They advertised a cookie social in the lobby and then failed to produce any cookies or milk. And this is advertised in every room with a large printed brocure. We went down to the lobby and then they kept telling everyone and ourselves that they would be done in 10 minutes so 30 minutes later they still did not have any and were trying to pawn off the old cookies to a few of the people. No Coffee in the lobby and PLEASE DON'T ASK the lady at the desk to help with anything. Heaven FOrbid!

I will never stay at a Best Western again in Branson again and I will make sure and tell as many people as I can about this terrible experience.

Also I will definetly find one of the hundreds of motels in Branson that has a Pool in working order. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Management Response from Katie_Steria
Although it is from 2003, I would like to take the opportunity to respond to this review, as it is our goal to have all customers leave the Best Western Music Capital Inn satisfied with their experience. First, regarding the pool, my apologies to the reviewer for any inconvenience we may have caused due to a closed pool area when he or she wanted to use that facility. The pool is open between the hours of 9AM and midnight so if a guest tried to enter the area earlier than 9 in the morning or after midnight, they would be unable to do so. Cleaning of the pool, the pool area, etc is completed early in the morning so the facility can then remain open during the day. Extenuating circumstances would be the only cause for the pool area to be closed within normal open hours and, if that were the case during this individual’s stay, I would hope he or she would have some understanding of the situation.

As for the cookie social, the Best Western Music Capital Inn does offer freshly baked cookies and milk to guests nightly. The cookies are baked each evening and made available to guests on a first come, first served basis. If the cookie supply is depleted, but more guests come to the lobby area interested in freshly baked cookies, our employees are happy to accommodate them. However, to deliver the promise of “fresh baked cookies,” at that point the guest would have to wait the 20-30 minutes it requires to bake the cookies. If one of our employees told this reviewer it would only be 10 minutes for the cookies to bake, my apologies to him or her for the misunderstanding.

Regarding a lack of coffee in the lobby area…I don’t know if that was the case in 2003, but I can vouch for the fact that the Best Western Music Capital Inn currently offers coffee 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the Breakfast Area, which is immediately connected to the lobby.

The reviewer’s comment regarding an unpleasant front desk service agent displeases me greatly. We strive to offer friendly, fantastic service to every individual that enters our doors. If anything less than that was encountered by this particular guest, there is no excuse. I would extend an invitation to the writer: visit the Best Western Music Capital Inn again and allow our excellent staff to treat you to the best in Ozark Hospitality as you take another look at our hotel.

Family Reunion

from A TripAdvisor Member
We held a family reunion at the Best Western Music Capital Inn. The staff and accomidations were great. All needs were met and everyone(13) had a great stay. I would highly recommend it for a stay in Branson. It's location is right across the street from the Shoji Tabuchi theater and the ticket office at the hotel will get you great seats for all the shows in town. The breakfest provided is a filling meal and you don't have to leave the hotel looking for a place to eat. Some of the entertainers stop by in the morning to give you a breif part of their show and leave some discount tickets for you. We plan on staying there again on our next trip to Branson and have stayed there in the past.
