Fun and Relaxation at the Grand Casino Tunica

After staying at the Grand Casino in Biloxi, my friend and I decided to go to the Grand Casino in Tunica. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed there twice within six months. The rooms were clean and huge at the Casino hotel. Many of the staff remembered us from our previous visit and were very gracious to us. The food was great. Room service was excellent with very large portions. The buffets had a wide variety of foods and wonderful desserts. Additionally, there are many activities available. We took a tour of Memphis, sailed a dinner cruise, and visited the Eco-Maritime museum. In all, it was a fun and relaxing experience at the Grand Casino Tunica.

The Grand Casino used to be a great place to stay, eat, and gamble. Over the past two years their buffet has gone from bad to worse. The people used to be great there but now they are rude and you can't get any service. I couldn't find the bellman or the valet the last time I checked out. I will never stay there again.

The breakfast buffet was the worst I have ever tried to eat anywhere. Hotel average, and slots tight. Probably won't stay at this hotel again.

I've seen the bad reviews here, but we had a great stay. This is the place to stay if you have kids. There are great pools, Kid's Quest, a video arcade, and lots of space for them to run around. We found staff at the hotel and casino to be very courteous and helpful. Yes, you have to take a shuttle to the casino, but we never waited more than a few minutes and it gets you back and forth in no time. It's kinda nice to get back to the hotel away from the hustle and bustle. Casino is huge, the blackjack tables a lot of fun, good video poker choices for Tunica, and every slot imaginable. Found the buffet better than any we've had in Vegas. Rooms at the Verandah are quite nice. Be sure to get a lake-facing room because the others face the roof or the parking lot. Can't wait to go back!

MY LORD IT WAS THE WORST ALL AROUND. A bunch of us went down to Tunica to gamble. We stayed one night at the grand and lost a GRAND!!! WORST SERVICE FOOD OR DRINK!! They had I swear one person working the whole ---- casino. Someone stole my money out of my machine and they did nothing about it and made it sound like it was my fault!!!!! WE GO EVERYWHERE TO GAMBLE SO TRUST US DO NOT GO THERE!!!

The Grand has 3 main hotels, one that is attached to the casino, and 2 that are a ways away. We stayed at one of the 2 that are a shuttle trip away from the casino. On the outside, the hotel was very nice. Nice pool, nice lobby. But at 4:00pm, the time check-in begins, they only had 1 employee working and a line of 20 people. Same for the next morning, at 11:00 check-out. The room was so-so, nothing impressive.
I think if you are staying here with kids, and plan to stay for a while it is nice. There is golf, a spa, pools, etc. However, if you are in town for a single night of gambling, this is NOT the place. You have to drive to the casino or wait on the shuttle. For the price, it is not worth it.

January 2004 we stayed 5 nights at the Grand. Enjoyed the slots. The staff is UNEDUCATED. The day of our departure, the shuttle was late carrying us to catch our flight. Well, I need not tell you anymore,,,we missed our flight. The shuttle driver was going to leave us stranded at the airport. But, we fortunately had the shuttle driver contact her supervisor and the supervisor informed the driver to bring us back to the hotel and they put us up in the Veranda for overnight stay. WOW! we will never return to Tunica again. Bioxli MISSISSIPPI here we come!!! O we initially stayed the 5 nights at the Grand, for those who never stayed at the Veranda, by all means when booking please stay at the Veranda, it's the cleaner and up to date than the Grand Tunica. The Veranda is across the street from the Grand.

I've stayed at the Grand in Tunica several times, stayed in all three hotels and its always been wonderful! Great staff, clean rooms, very good spa, awesome golf course, what more do you need? Highly recommend!

We have visited the Grand Hotel and our room was wonderful, we loved it!! Very, very spacious. The past few years we have stayed at the Terrace Hotel and we like it there too. The rooms are very large and neat. We really enjoy ourselves when we visit.

Top Local Tips for Tunica Resorts

unless you really like to gamble.... Make sure you come when the outdoor swimming pool is open, in April....the outdoor pools are beautiful, at least the one by the VERANDA Hotel, the pool at the other hotel was under construction. Also, you might want to bring bikes to ride... there are alot of nice sidewalks to ride on. If you like to drink, there are several bars in the hotels. There is one inside pool at the Casino Hotel which is not really very pleasant- seems like an after thought. The sauna was not working and was in an obscure location. There is also golf. SO, if you don't don't gamble and the pool is not open, and you don't golf,bring something to do! There are alot of ponds with big fish, but no fishing is allowed. The Mississippi River is near by. There are a few tourist places if you come out from the Casino drive onto 61 and turn to the left. ....just a few....There is a small outlet mall, a museum, a visitor center.....

Grand Buffet in Grand Casino On the second floor of the Grand Casino is the Grand Buffet. For about $30, my husband and I ate at the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet with different cuisine "stations." There was one for Asian cuisine which included sushi, Italian, Southern Fried, Barbeque, Dessert, Rotisserie, and Bakery. The dinner buffet was utterly fabulous, but the breakfast was just so-so.
