"All you can eat" Pancakes - or not The first gas station north of Lutsen Mtn / Resort is a gas station / general store / restaurant all roled into one. I don't remember the name, but the gas was cheaper (significantly), then the next place just up the road. It has a good general store, but don't bother with the "restaurant". The service is poor (get your own water), it was dimmly lit, the view was of a trailer home, and the prices were outrageous! We were suckered into it because it said, "all you can eat pancakes" on the gas station sign. What they really meant was, "all the server thinks you should eat pancakes" They brought me out a plate of b-quality (and small size) pancakes, and asked if that was going to be enough. To which I replied that I love "all-you-can-eat-pancakes because I can eat a lot." To which she mumbled on her way back to the kitchen, "not here, you won't" (truly unbelievable). I heard her in the kitchen say, "make 3 more, but take your time". After those 3 more, they just brought the bill!
