Staff could not have been more helpful. Made a room change so that my wife could be on the ground floor. Gave excellent advise regarding all the great things to do and where to go in the area. Very nice and clean facility. Great view of the harbor. We will be vcisiting the Harbor Inn in the future.

The Harbor Inn is a smaller hotel situated right on the Harbor. The rooms are cozy and roomy all of which have a refrigerator, coffee pot, hair dryer, phone, TV and a view of both Grand Marais and the Harbor. Easy walking all thru town for either eating out, shopping or just enjoying the view. Bicycle paths, walking paths, lovely park right out front. Harbor eco tours, old fashioned wood working shops, and much more. This Inn is owned by a lovely couple who make you feel like you are coming home for a vist! Year after year we have stayed there and have always returned the following year. It's quiet and sitting out day or evening enjoying the view and people is a must. There is a restaurant attached but leased. They offer 10% off your meals if you show them your hotel key. Great food. Take the time to drive to the end of the Gunflint Trail - museum there newly opened explaining the history of the area lakes and glacial activity. The Harbor Inn is a perfect spot to enjoy the town, the surrounding area and even Canada. You hear many foreign languages being spoken so travelers come from all over the world. It's great. You won't be dissapointed and if your travel plans allow, you too will become a repeat customer!

Unplugged Breakfast BEST BREAKFAST! Sling a folding chair over your back. Get your favorite coffee at the Java Moose -then stop at Worlds Best Doughnuts and get one or two to-go and walk out to Artist Point. Enjoy fresh homemade doughnuts and coffee right on the shore of this amazing inland sea we call Lake Superior. Unplug, I promise your worries will melt away - It's the best breakfast place in Grand Marais! Oh- did I mention you can do all this for under 5 bucks.
