Eating in Mt. Pleasant Mt. Pleasant is not renowned for its fine dining. We have tried the Mountain Town Station a few times now, looking for sometihing above average. It is a kind of steak house, up-scale road house. The menu is pricey, the service is ok, but the food is only so-so at best (we were a party of 10 this last time and so sampled a lot of the menu; nothing was all that great.) On the other hand, there is quite a bar scene in the evening, if you're into that kind of thing. For what you get I'd suggest trying an Applebee's or a Bennigan's (of which there are both in Mt. Pleasant: the food will be the same (maybe even better in quality and preparation) and you'll pay less. Then there is the Embers, which is very pricey, and maybe quite good (but we haven't tried it yet).
