Top Local Tips for Monroe

Monroe MI i-75 Rest area & tourist info center We always utilize the welcome centers. But I wanted to note how nice this one is. Very clean, great info center but best of all a big playground area. Our kids were so antsy and ready to stop. While my husband went in for info books/pamphlets, I turned the kids loose in the playground. It was brand new (or looked brand new) and had lots for them to do. Safety fence around it. It has that special ground cover that is springy to walk on instead of mulch or grass.

Key to a pleasant stay Golden arches, a three minute walk. Features American favorites, such as, the double-cheeseburger. Take a dip in the pristine waters of lake Erie, in beautiful Bolles Harbor. Marvel at the amazing architectures of the Enrico Fermi nuclear power facility. Make sure to visit the Reebok store, and watch out for sea gulls. Most of all, remember that people disappear at the Bolles Harbor cafe.

humid Monroe is my home town. I am used to the fact that there is not alot to do there. I go to see family and friends. Michigan has alot nicer towns, like Plymouth and Ann Arbor, Traverse City, Mackinaw Island. The Humidity was stifling for June. I was on the road alot, so I did not have to stay in the motel much at all.
