This Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites is a great value at $119.00. The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean and located across from the courthouse. The Express Smart Breakfast is very generous. The Holiday Inn Express Detroit is the perfect place for a independant business traveler footing thier own bill. Good value!

Top Local Tips for Detroit

Stay at the Holiday Inn Express Detroit and do it all You can walk to a Tiger Game, Lions Game, Red Wings Game. Take a $5 cab ride to the Science Center to see "The Body" or hang out at the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts). We go to Detroit at least 4 times per year. There's so much to do, if you do a little digging online.

Casinos MGM is tight with thier machines. They don't have a lot of penny slots. Though it is very nice. The people mover is quite interesting. Get info on it prior to going to Detroit. I goes to quite a few places. Greektown is being renavated but is really nice. Lots of penny slots and nice people. Motor City hopefully will be cleaner when the new one opens. The old one is smokey and dirty.

Best Cheeseburger in town - Opus One If you're in Detroit, try Opus One (on Larned Street) for a cheeseburger--it's the best in town. Having lived there, I can say that I've eaten it multiple times. Opus is a four-star restaurant, and has wonderful cuisine.
