Disappointing. We had stayed there a number of years ago and were very pleased, but the quality had deteriorated, especially in terms of the furnishings.

My husband and I have stayed at J&W once or twice a year for several years since we have family in the area and love New England. The hotel has always been exceptionally clean and the restaurant quality quite good. Many times we purchased cakes and pastries which were beautifully displayed in the lobby, and we were disappointed to see this eliminated. It was a great advertisement for the School and the excellence of the pastry chefs. We always enjoyed the enthusiasm of the young student staff but have one major complaint...and that is the elimination of a unique personalized service that distinguished the hotel from all others in the area....the complimentary morning coffee room service. At check-in, guests would receive a card for completion, and we would leave it on our door in the evening with our order for coffee/juice, etc. including the time we would like it delivered. It was fantastic and one of the main reasons we stayed @ J&W. Unfortunately, you no longer provide this personalized service -- what a shame. Conformity (like the Ramada and Hampton Inn) is not what your guests are looking for @ J&W.
