The best and most comfortable beds I have ever had at any Hotel I have stayed. Service desk personel is kind of cold in their professional way. More smiles would be nice. The location is perfect since you are near shopping within walking distance, and the waterfront is right nearby.

Great location

from A TripAdvisor Member
Great Location. We walked to the childrens museam, the aquarium, fanuel hall, the public Gardens and the North end with two children very easily. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We joined wyndham by request and got free local and long distance telephone calls, free high speed internet access, and a late checkout. Parking at 32.00 per night is ridiculous. You definately do not need a car so save yourself some money and leave it home.

My wife and spent the night in this great hotel after previous trips to Boston when we stayed at the Marriott Long Wharf. We love the waterfront/aquarium Fanuel Hall area and were frustrated when the Long Wharf was sold out...we stayed at the Wyndham and were extremely happy we did. GREAT price and GREAT location! Walked all over Bsoton and more importantly were about 4 minutes from the sites we love near the Marriott Long Wharf (ie IMAX, Aquarium). The room was great and staff very helpful- I HIGHLY recommend this hotel...one word to the wise though I had some problems with the valet parking- expensive and slooooww...and the fact that my car came back with the fron hood open and subsquent engine problems leads me to believe someone messed around- better off taxing to the hotel if possible because with this location you walk everywhere anyway!

t Be Disappointed

I booked my reservation on Expedia with a flight and got a great price on a "luxurious suite." We were in town for business and everybody else stayed near Copley Square in a different hotel.

I will never regret my decision to stay at the Wyndham Boston. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. Our room was very big with a separate bedroom and "living room."

The "Freedom Trail" and Quincy Market are a couple of blocks from the hotel. We were able to pretty much walk or take the subway anywhere we wanted to go.

I checked out the hotel that the other people in our group stayed at, and we had a much nicer place to stay and it was less expensive.

I have read other reviews that complain about the location of this hotel. If you don't mind staying in a hotel that isn't right next to a mall, you will do fine here. Many shops, attractions, and restaurants are within walking distance.

As other reviewers have pointed out, make sure to enroll in "Wyndham ByRequest" on their website. They esentially "customize" your room, and make sure that there is a beverage and snack of your choice in your room when you arrive. Each day they provided us with two bottles of water. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but most hotels are charging $5 for a bottle of water. You also are guaranteed the best available room when you arrive, late check-out if you need it, and free long distance and local calls.

Parking is $32 a night at the hotel. We did fine without a car.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wyndham ok buuuuuuuuuut....

We stayed at the Wyndham Tremont in Boston in July. My granddaughter, who is 11, couldn't get over all the colors and patterns in the room. It was very busy. Enjoyed our orange juice, cheese and crakers (nice touch). The bell hop(s) not at all helpful in three instances. Bed comfortable and clean and the view from room was great. I would stay at this hotel again.

Great Hotel

Service here was wonderful and the location was great. Within walking distance to so much of what Boston has to offer. I highly recommend joining "Wyndham by Request" via their website. We had a family fun package via their website and were upgraded to a king suite that was absolutely beautiful. I would stay here again in an instant.

Did the Right Thing

from TTFLA
What started out to be a nightmare ended with satisfaction. I made reservations at the Wyndham specifying a king, non-smoking room with a view. When we arrived (midnight due to cancelled inbound flights) we were given a double-bed smoking room with a stale cigarette stench that bowled you over when you opened the door. After complaining and being told it's the last room we proceeded to search the town (yes, at midnight) for another hotel. Unsuccessful, we headed up to the Wyndham room at 2:00 a.m. only to find the bathroom floor flooded. Management was quick to fix the problem and we were in bed by 3:00 a.m. After this disappointing start to our vacation, I complained to the front desk the next morning and without question was upgraded to a king non-smoking suite on the top floor with a great view of Boston harbor. While initially disatisfied, the hotel did the right thing in the end. It's a nice hotel with a professional staff and a great central location. I would stay there again.

Great Deal!

I recently bought two night at a Hotel in Boston on Hotwire.com. After the purchase they tell you the hotel. I paid $90 a night at the Wyndahm Boston! The rooms were great and the location was perfect. My parents and sister were visiting from MN and they thought the hotel was extrordiary! Feather pillows and comforters, great staff and excellent concierge! Recommend this to anyone.

Couldn't praise service of Wyndham by Request manager enough. I had a need to aquire stair access as I don't like lifts and was e-mailed personally on more than one occasion and asssured that this would not be a problem. The hotel is beautiful, central and the service is special. Thanks for making an apprehensive stay wonderful!!

Excellent hotel, superb staff.

I spent 11 nights in the Wyndham Boston, and found it to be an excellent hotel. Staff were top-notch, and quality of service second to nothing.

Only small gripes would be, no pool and tiny Gym. Tip-join their members club (free) via their website before you book, and then you truly get treated royally .i.e upgrade to suites, free calls, free welcome snacks, daily papers etc.

Top Local Tips for Boston

Mr Dooleys Just on the next corner from the Hilton in Broad Street, GREAT FOOD very reasonable fast service friendly bar staff and customers

Quincy Market Qunicy Market is pretty overrated- it's fine to walk through once, but really just a crowded tourist trap. There are many other more authentic sights and neighborhoods to spend your time in.

Boston Hilton Financial District Booked it thru priceline.com about 4 days before we intended to arrive, seems we got a great price (under $100 before tax)
