The title says it all! For me it was the food and the views, for my girlfriend it was the spa and the service. Just excellent!
Fantastic room and friendly staff

A little bit of luxury to end our holiday in the states was the plan and the Boston Harbour exceeded expectations. A lovely room with an extraordinary view and gret staff. The formal restuarant wasn't in use during our stay so dining choices were a little limited hence the 8 rather than 10 score.

Great Place

from A TripAdvisor Member
The Boston Harbor Hotel is a great place to stay...The nice/friendly employees coupled with the amazing views and surrounding attractions makes it a location that any Boston area visitor should not ignore. Without a doubt, one of the top 3 hotels in the area...if not the best. Don't miss your chance to enjoy their hospitality.

This trip was a surprise gift from our son's who live in the Boston area. Stunning view from our bedroom. Outstanding service in restauants and health club/pool area. One of the managers, Wendy, was charming and made our stay one we'll remeber for a long long time. Once they finish with the construction and plant the trees for the park in front of the hotel, this place will be THE place to stay. Congratulations to the staff and to our boys for a relaxing weekend getaway. It was much needed!

No help from staff during evacuation

from A TripAdvisor Member
During the night of 10/02/04 several floors were evacuated due to a fire warning. Once outside the hotel no information was given and the staff were totally uncaring. Once we were allowed back to our rooms there was no organisation and other guests had to ensure that the old and people with children got to the elevators first. Good service at this hotel is dependant on tips and guest in nightclothes do not have money.
I wrote with full details to the General Manager but did not get a reply.

My husband and I travel frequently, and always stay in first-class hotels. The Boston Harbor stands above all the rest, in quiet elegance, customer service, ambience, you name it!

We had a beautiful suite that afforded us great views of the harbor, dotted with sailboats and yachts. The room had floor to ceiling drapes, a well stocked mini bar, large screen television in the living room, beautiful bathroom, large, very comfortable bed. We enjoyed good service in the casual restaurant, and wonderful cocktails in the bar.

If you have budget constraints, save until you have enough to enjoy a night at this hotel. You will never forget it! On our next visit to Boston, this is where we will stay.

Awesome Staff

My new favorite hotel. Room was great, bathroom was large, the view was spectacular, and the staff was shameless in their devotion to please. Head conciere by the name of Miller was outstanding. I've been to Boston on business a dozen times. By far the best hotel I've stayed at in Bean Town.

Felt Like I was at Home

I had to stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel in May for business. My plane was delayed and I arrived at 2:30am with no luggage. A bellman walked with me for 3 blocks to a convenience store so I could get a few items. To top it off I got sick and the concierge went out of his way to find a doctor who would take my insurance. The room was wonderful and the staff turned what could have been the worst stay ever into a nice hotel experience.

We loved the Boston Harbor Hotel!!

Like many others, my husband and I spent our (fifth) anniversary here. We can't say enough about it....the food was great (we had dinner outside and Eggs Benedict in our room for breakfast) The harbor views are tremendous and all the amenities in our room and throughout the hotel are too numerous to list. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, walking to nearby Quincy MArket and the North End. Can't wait until next year!! (Get the Harbor view if you can. Its breathtaking and the city view is a bit dug up now with all the construction)

A place to return to time and time again

Recently, my girlfriends and I decided to celebrate a birthday by staying overnight at a Boston hotel. Familiar with the Boston Harbor Hotel, I suggested we stay there. Our stay was one of the most memorable times - the service, ambience, food and atmosphere is unparalleled. The employees of the hotel are so kind and they really do make you feel at home once you step into the hotel. The hotel's lobby is gorgeous, the fresh flowers are stunning. We ate dinner in Intrigue Cafe - a comfortable cafe that boasts a rare view of Boston Harbor. The next morning, we ate brunch in Meritage and it was wonderful. You could choose anything from gourmet omelettes to sushi! The Boston Harbor Hotel is one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. I am so happy to have this hotel close by so I can visit time and time again. A must see!

Boston Harbor Hotel, first class all the way!

from AmberJane
We stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel for one night after the Simon and Garfunkel concert. When we checked in, we were very impressed, the lobby was beautiful but not pretentious. There is very easy access to the warf outside which would have been wonderful if it wasn't so chilly the night we stayed! The conceriege was great, they made reservations for us the following morning for their buffet brunch (best brunch I EVER had!). We went up to our room, which was a skyline view and WOW it was pretty! The rooms are very large sized and since we got the cheapest room, we weren't expecting much. We had a nice view of Boston (and the big dig, hehehe). The bed was soooo comfy, they had robes, and slippers. Plus very nice soaps and shampoos. The mini bar was stocked with anything from peanuts to champagne! When we got back from our concert we found the bed turned down and our robes and slippers laid out for us. Overall, it was a great experience!!

A Slice of Heaven in the Middle of Boston

Being in my late 20s, and of the Sex and the City era, I tend to gravitate towards boutique hotels with trendy interiors and happening bars. I decided to try the Boston Harbor Hotel on the recommendation of a good friend.

I was immediately impressed with the hotel from the time I pulled up to the front of the property. The broad exterior exudes strength and high class, and the doormen couldn't have been more helpful. Stepping into the hotel, one is immediately struck with the feeling of comfort. The regal lobby is small, yet grand in it's own right, and I found myself walking a little taller on my way to the front desk. Check in was smooth and quick, the way I like it. The staff was courteous and attentive.

Upon entering my room, I fell in love with the two room suite! I felt like I had my own apartment in the city. The view from the room was fantastic, with large windows looking out over the Harbor. I arrived late, and was pleasantly surprised to find my bed turned down, and bathrobe and slippers laid out for me. After my bags were delivered to my room, I slipped downstairs for dinner and drinks at Meritage, the fantastic wine restaurant that my friend had raved about.

I only stayed the weekend, but would definitely come back again. Everything was perfectm, the Hotel itself, the staff, the location, the food!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for an extraordinary experience in Boston.
