Top Local Tips for Laurel
Ride the Train! Avoid taking the cab, because it's about $25 to get into DC. The train was only $4!
Beware of this hotel's maintainance, staff and management. This hotel seems to be in need of serious service, specifically regarding elevator maintainance. Although we were well below less than half of the recommeded weight for this elevator the elevator stuck. The staff is extremely unhelpful, unsympathetic and inept in handling such a basic emergency on behalf of its guests. The management makes excuses for the staff and would prefer to argue with its guests rather than ensure steps are taken to avoid such seious problems again. There are many other comparable hotels in this area. I suggest you look elsewhere.
