Historical Traveller Reviews of Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards Hotel
Near the Park--Its Only Asset
Where do I start... As a Marriott Silver, I was sent an email in advance asking for special needs. I indicated, as I was arriving after midnight, I needed a fridge for my diabetic supplies. Nope--it was not there. and, it took an hour for one to arrive. also the restaurants close at midnight and there is no room service after midnight.
Calls for items needed were either ignored or needd many repeat calls to follow up. Such as a call for a foam pillow or extra blanket....
The hotel itself is nice--clean and adequately maintained. The service is awful. BUT... it is across from Camden Yards and if you are in town for an Orioles game (as we were) the location is unbeatable.
Would I stay there again? Yes, but I'd arrive much earlier to avoid late night issues.

We recently stayed at the Marriot Inner Harbor- Camden Yards to attend a couple of red sox - orioles baseball games. We thought we left plenty of time to arrive, eat dinner and get to the game on time. However due to the traffic slowdowns what should have taken 5.5 hours took us 8.5 hours. We got to the hotel right at game time and assumed that after checking in and parking we would miss at least half of the game. Parking, check in and arriving at our room took us all of about 15 minutes total and were out the door across the street to the ballpark arriving in the second inning. The hotel is great. The beds are soo comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Very clean. No complaints. The location is perfect for baseball fans as is across the street from the ballpark. Also this hotel is in walking distance to all the action in the inner harbor. We plan on returning and will stay again at this hotel.
Strong Three Star Place
We stayed at this hotel in July 2005. The rooms were small but comfortable. I did not personally think the service was that great, but the location simply cannot be beat. Easy walk to Inner Harbor - right across the street from Camden Yards. One of the staff people was less than helpful on our last day - we requested that they call a cab at 6 am so that we could get to the airport...when we came down - no cab. We asked at the front desk, only to learn that she had decided not to call anyone since "there is a shuttle coming at 7 am." This, of course, is not acceptable.
Nice place to stay
Very nice property, rooms were a little small and view of heat vents on roof, but very clean and the staff was friendly. The perfect place to stay if going to a baseball game and also an easy walk to the inner harbor.
The most comfortable beds I have every slept in at a hotel!
Small rooms but good overall service
My boyfriend and I just returned from a 5 night stay at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbour. We were not all that pleased with the size of our room, bathroom or closet space. We also didn't have that great of a view. However, the staff including the concierge and doormen were great and very helpful. The convenience to inner harbor and its attractions was a short 10-15 minute walk away. Also, the concierge recommended a great restaurant Kali's Court (a 10 minute taxi ride) which was first class! If we do return to Baltimore on vacation, we may try the Renaissance or the Marriott Downtown. Hopefully the rooms will be somewhat more spacious. Overall a good experience.
A great place for Orioles fans!

We continue to return to the Marriott Inner Harbor for Orioles games. The beds are fabulous: triple-sheeted with feather pillows and duvets on a mattress (almost) as comfortable as home. The high threadcount sheets are luxurious. The bathroom is spotless. The shower is hot with exceptional water pressure. Overall, the rooms are immaculate. On our most recent stay, my husband asked for a room facing Camden Yards, and the front desk clerk immediately obliged. The housekeeper on our floor was pleasant and personable with a huge smile and nice things to say. In fact, the entire staff is friendly. We always stay parked in hotel parking, and pay for an extra hour or so if necessary. It's more convenient and secure, and really not that much more expensive. Part of our ballgame routine is to go to the Wharf Rat just down the street for a crabcake sandwich before the game.
Had a great stay. Staff - extremely friendly and courteous, always smiling and saying hello. Room Service - We ordered breakfast one morning and the food was good. The White Tavern Bar - Had drinks here a couple of nights and ate here one night too. Food was good and not overpriced. This hotel also had a little cafe/sundries shop that was open early until late (like midnight I think). Very convenient for snacks, breakfast on the go, Starbucks coffee, etc. Hallways and room smelled fresh and clean. Room very clean, and beds extremely comfortable. This hotel is awesome if you have a game or event to attend at one of the stadiums - M&T Bank (Baltimore Ravens, football) or Baltimore Orioles (baseball). You can walk right to either. This hotel is a ways walk from the downtown/sightseeing area. Also, when you leave the hotel, do not venture out to the west. We made this mistake and found ourselves in a very, very questionable area. The concierge is more than willing to help with maps and directions to where you need to go. Highly recommend! :)
The hotel was beautiful, and is in an excellent condition. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would return again
Very Nice stay for a baseball game

We stayed here for one night to see a Red Sox vs. Orioles game at Camden Yards, and the Marriott was an excellent hotel. We were on the 5th floor and even with a room on a lower floor, we had a very nice view of Baltimore. This hotel was very fun and festive, but not too wild which was good for us. The Marriott Inner Harbor is right in the middle of Baltimore across from Camden Yards which is very good for us. The lobby, bar, rooms, and the morning coffee bar were all very nice and also clean ( We are very neat and clean people and cannot stand dirty hotels or restaurants). The great bell staff even printed us out directions to the JW Marriott in Washington DC (also a beautiful Marriott hotel) which we thought was very nice. Great Job Marriott!!!
closest to Camden Yards
We always check out our hotels with Tripadvisor before we book a place to stay...so we were a little worried by the mixed reviews the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor had received ... however, we found the room to be clean and well stocked, the proximity to the ball yard was outstanding ...our room overlooked the field! And the concierge booked us into a wonderful restaurant, Kali's Court, as well as got us into the Camden Club at the ball yard! Close to the action of the Inner Harbor and a homerun away from Camden Yards...this hotel was clearly a grand slam for us!
Top Local Tips for Baltimore
Great Italian Restaurant - Germano's Trattoria - Homemade pasta was great.
plethera of pan handlers and homelessness
When you step out of the hotel be VERY careful. It was cold out when we were there but it didn't stop the homeless and the pan handlers from bothering us. When we arrived we asked the front desk about safe and unsafe areas in Baltimore, she exclaimed the path to all the sites (Inner Harbor) was very safe, Pratt Street is not a safe place you'd be better off on a back road because no one is there at all. Pratt street has a ton of these street people who in seven blocks stopped my wife and I three times. We dealt with it each time but who needs the hassle. The hotel didn't realize this, it seems everyone else knew about it. A restaurant less then two blocks away wanted to give us a ride for our safety. Go figure!
