The hotel was in renovations however the rooms were very nice and the staff great and helpful

Top Local Tips for Shreveport

good places to eat I've been going to Shreveport all my life since that's where my grandparents lived. The Youree Drive area, between Southfield and Bert Kouns, has really sprouted up in the last 10 years. They have built TONS of restaurants down there. One of my favorites is McAlisters Deli. It's on 70th St., just off Youree, behind Sonic. They have GREAT food. But if that's not to your liking, just cruise up and down Youree and you'll find something you like. There's also some places on Bert Kouns, west of Youree. Pasados has really good Mexican food. The one time I went there, the service was terrible, but the food was good! This area of town has just about anything you'd want to eat. I'd recommend it for people who are new to the city or just visiting.
