Great hotel, great location

This elegant all-suite hotel is attached to the the sumptuous Ritz-Carlton with which it shares some services. The hotel is impeccably clean, everything looks new. The suites are lovely and amazingly quiet for the French Quarter, close to Bourbon Street. We traveled with a friend, who found her sofa-bed amazingly comfortable. We had a king-size in our part of the suite. The suite was very well-appointed and decorated, with 2 TVs, safe in room, all amenities like iron, coffee-maker, refrigerator, kitchen sink, 2-line phone, voicemail, blow-dryer, plenty of fluffy towels, and high-quality toiletries. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful: a far cry from the continental breakfast one usually sees in hotels. There was even fresh-squeezed OJ and fresh waffles you can make yourself. Hallways are clean, attractive and well-lit. Elevators are fast. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite and as efficient as possible considering there seemed to not be enough front-desk staff during our stay...they could use a little help. Perhaps this was because we were staying over Christmas and New Year's. Sometimes family members calling us found the telephone reception slow or non-existent. Local calls are expensive: $1.25. Parking is extremely expensive: $32 a day, but with in/out privileges. We parked across the street for $18 a day, no in/out. A better option if staying a week or more would be to park down the street for a monthly flat fee of $120 with in/out privileges. This is really a great location, and all services at the Ritz-Carlton are available to Iberville guests including excellent concierge service. Our only quibbles: foam pillows only; they should have feather ones available to those who want them; and windows do not open. No White Pages in the room and nobody could find any. Coke vending machine on our floor was broken but when we reported this they delivered 2 Diet Cokes in a silver ice bucket to our room immediately, at no charge. That's class and Southern hospitality!

WE were so impressed with the Iberville Suites. The rooms were clean and spacious and the entire hotel staff was incredibly polite , helpful and friendly. The buffet style breakfast in the morning (Complimentary) was wonderful and we had no problem getting a seat . The location was perfect, as it was only 1 block from Bourbon street , yet far enough away to block the noise so we had good sleeps every night. We will definitely be back!

Elegant/Great Location

What a little gem! My 2 friends and I shared a suite at the Iberville 10/6 to 10/10. The suite was small but just right for 3 people. My only complaint was that they would not give us 2 beds in the bedroom. We had a king and a pull out couch in the living room. Two of us had to sleep together. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was excellent.
Great buffet breakfast every morning. Excellent location in the Quarter. You are a short walking distance from the main area but far enough away from the noise of Bourbon street. There is a great place to eat right up the block called Deannie's if you don't feel like going far. They do take out too! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
When ever I come back to the Big Easy I will be staying at Iberville Suites.

lovely hotel,good service

Just come back from a 3 night stay at the Iberville suites and it was great, nice room though it was a bit too small for 4 of us and a bit dusty in places but that was the only downside.I'm just a bit reluctant to give it all 5 stars as we stayed in an even better hotel on our travels. The breakfast was really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect,1 block from Bourbon street but seemed a million miles away,it was so quiet!I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Amazing Property!

Two words - ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Perfect location, perfect atmosphere, perfect rooms, perfect breakfast and most of all, perfect staff!

Mixed Feelings

I have mixed feelings about the Iberville Suites... It was a very nice hotel for a great price... the room was spacious and had nice amenities... it was not spotless (there were old ice pops in the freezer), and we did have problems communicating with the maid service (b/c some of them did not speak English!) When we checked in... they held $600 in my checking account for "incidental charges"... I understand they have to hold some money... but I had no idea they would freeze this much money in my account! Overall, the stay was nice. The main problem happened after I left.. a week after my stat, I noticed a charge on my account of $111 from the Ritz-Carlton (who handles Iberville's finances) I called them, and they said they accidentally charged a no-show charge to my account.. and that it would be credited back to my account.. a few days later they only credited only $102..
frustrated.. I called back, and they said they couldn't find any of the charges and that I had to send proof! I stopped being polite, and said that I shouldn't have to do anything, and they said they would call me back... I'm still waiting for the call

Arrived on Saturday with 2 daughters , 3 grandchildren and 1 wife.
"Superb Hotel" Rooms and showers as clean as home! The rooms/suites are spacious! Employees are the most courteous and helpful I have every encountered in New Orleans. Breakfast Buffet is excellent! Location is great! Parking in and out is above average but pricey! Rates are very competitive

Iberville Suites

I loved Iberville Suites! The location was wonerful. We were only 1 or 2 short blocks to Bourbon, and all of the other French Quarter attractions. We were also able to catch the streetcar about a block or 2 away. The hotel was beautiful, loved the bath and body works lotions, soap, etc... Free breakfast was great too. Eggs, bacon, grits, hashbrowns, fruit, muffins, HUGE waffles, cereal and more!! Great rates too. We got a buy 2 nights get 1 free rate from the hotel website. Great Stay!!

Great value in a great location

The Iberville Suites shares the old Maison Blanche building with the Ritz Carlton. I think the inside is fairly new- at least it looks that way. The staff was great, the suite we stayed in was the perfect size for us (but could be small for a family of 4), it was very clean and it was 2 blocks off Bourbon St. and one block off Canal St. Every morning from 6:30-9:30 they have a great breakfast buffet: scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, fruit, yogurt, bagels, coffee, etc. etc. We'd go back in a heartbeat. If you're looking for great accomodations that are quiet, close to the heart of the Quarter, and reasonably priced, this is it.

Top Local Tips for New Orleans

Within walking distance to Bourbon Street and French Quarter Hotel is one block from Bourbon Street and French Quarter!! Many places to eat close by.

Lots of quaint shops! We just came back from staying in the French Quarter so it was hot and humid. Most stores do not open until 10am but if you go earlier, you can enjoy a walk at Jackson Square or walk around the lake in the area. Also the Riverwalk shops are located in a air conditioned building so you can cool off while waiting for the shops to open. I wish I had more time to see all the quaint shops along the way (like on Royal & Decauter Streets). Stop at the Central Grocery for a muffeletta (big sub sandwich) and stop at the famour Cafe du Monde for a beigette (warm fried dough pastry with powered sugar). While walking around, we just took in the beautiful ironwork and plants on all the balconies of the old buildings. Definitely walk down Bourbon Street.

Take a Taxi Stay in fall months as weather is hot and muggy. It's worth the fee to hire a taxi rather than try to walk in the heat.
