Great hotel, great location

This elegant all-suite hotel is attached to the the sumptuous Ritz-Carlton with which it shares some services. The hotel is impeccably clean, everything looks new. The suites are lovely and amazingly quiet for the French Quarter, close to Bourbon Street. We traveled with a friend, who found her sofa-bed amazingly comfortable. We had a king-size in our part of the suite. The suite was very well-appointed and decorated, with 2 TVs, safe in room, all amenities like iron, coffee-maker, refrigerator, kitchen sink, 2-line phone, voicemail, blow-dryer, plenty of fluffy towels, and high-quality toiletries. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful: a far cry from the continental breakfast one usually sees in hotels. There was even fresh-squeezed OJ and fresh waffles you can make yourself. Hallways are clean, attractive and well-lit. Elevators are fast. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite and as efficient as possible considering there seemed to not be enough front-desk staff during our stay...they could use a little help. Perhaps this was because we were staying over Christmas and New Year's. Sometimes family members calling us found the telephone reception slow or non-existent. Local calls are expensive: $1.25. Parking is extremely expensive: $32 a day, but with in/out privileges. We parked across the street for $18 a day, no in/out. A better option if staying a week or more would be to park down the street for a monthly flat fee of $120 with in/out privileges. This is really a great location, and all services at the Ritz-Carlton are available to Iberville guests including excellent concierge service. Our only quibbles: foam pillows only; they should have feather ones available to those who want them; and windows do not open. No White Pages in the room and nobody could find any. Coke vending machine on our floor was broken but when we reported this they delivered 2 Diet Cokes in a silver ice bucket to our room immediately, at no charge. That's class and Southern hospitality!

WE were so impressed with the Iberville Suites. The rooms were clean and spacious and the entire hotel staff was incredibly polite , helpful and friendly. The buffet style breakfast in the morning (Complimentary) was wonderful and we had no problem getting a seat . The location was perfect, as it was only 1 block from Bourbon street , yet far enough away to block the noise so we had good sleeps every night. We will definitely be back!
