We visited in April and had a wonderful time... the room was comfortable and we walked everywhere. Our prayers are with the staff in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

We enjoyed our stay at the French Quarter Courtyard. It was slightly off the beaten path but within easy walking distance of the French Quarter. The hotel was older but well kept and very unique--creaky wood floors, shuttered doors and windows included. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful.
Would recommend this to someone who is looking for an economical but interesting place to stay in N.O.

On our way home to New Zealand after living in London for 8 years we wanted to travel trough parts of the States. My girlfriend had always wanted to go to New Orleans and after spending a week in New York it was a fantastic change of pace. The rooms had a classic feel with big old four poster beds and ceiling fans. The coutyard was beautiful with a pool and the sound of running water at night was soothing. It was only a short walk into the heart of the French Quarter. It was the most relaxing part of our month in America we would spend the days at the hotel and explore by night. After we left New Orleans we went to Las Vegas where we decided to get married. Maybe it was the spice of the south.

We booked about ten rooms, and when we got to the hotel, they didnt have any rooms available. We were told by some people that they overbook all the time. They were trying to be helpful, and send half of our group across town to stay. We were a group and wanted to stay together. We ended up having to spend three times as much to stay in the french quarter.

New Orleans in November, such a lovely place. French Quarter in November, the place to be. This hotel, located on the Northern edge of the French Quarter had fantstic rooms, helpful service and located away from the hustle and bustle of the social life (but not too far!). The breakfast however was a touch stingy, I know you shouldnt expect anything right. Nevertheless a bit pricy allround.
