You'll find decent rooms, a location convenient to the French Quarter, and a helpful and friendly staff. To the miserly Eurotrash who won't take their wife to a hotel costing more than 30 bucks a night, you get what you pay for. If you want an ultraclean whitebread hotel with some primp desk clerk who will smell your perfumed*** when you walk in the door, don't leave Paris. Losers.

This is the worst hotel I've ever been. Smelly, suspicious people, hookers and drunken people. Stay away from this place!

This hotel caters to homosexuals who are in the final stages of full blown aids. There are few places in the 3rd world as filthy as the Empress. The rooms smell like July Calcutta

I'm sorry to say this, but the Empress Hotel in New Orleans was really one of the worst experiences I ever had!!! The rooms are just dirty, dark, loud and really smelly.. There were cockroaches all over the place... You better don't leave the hotel on your own, and a walk to the city can become a life threatening adventure...
