Top Local Tips for Louisville

Lots of things to do in Louisville! The museum at Churchill Downs is very well done - lots of interactive displays and a great movie. I recommend the Insiders Tour as well as the Backstage Tour. The Louisville Slugger museum is full of fun baseball facts and they give you a mini baseball bat at the end of the tour. Be sure to pack the bat - airport security will not allow you to carry them on. Great dining in Louisville. For casual fun, don't miss Lynn's Paradise Cafe - it looks like it was designed by Dr Suess and has a fun gift shop. Proof is a very nice bar and restaurant. It is attached to a modern art museum and the displays and the bathrooms are well worth a visit. Try the octopus - yummy!
