Top Local Tips for Covington

Felt Safe but No Place for a Healthy Night's Sleep I felt safe everywhere in the hotel, including the attended garage underneath with a clear security presence. However hassles of accessing the hotel if you drive and don't valet park (if you're in a wheelchair or unsteady on your feet, I don't see how you can get through the doors from the garage at all), and the lack of soundproofing of the door to the lobby atrium and rushing water sounds from pipes in the walls so you can get a sound, healthy night's rest to support safe, active long days, including hours of cross country driving, those things are bad enough I would never stay here again and have to recommend anyone valuing a quiet night's rest not go here. I used a brown noise generator to mask intermittent background noises and still was awakened by loud noises at least 4 times during the night, probably more like 5 or 6 times.

Covington - Times to avoid Avoid arrival and departure during Rush Hour. The river crossings are severely overcapacity in the morning and evening crush. Covington/Newport and Cincinnati are interconnected by only a few bridges. The city of Covington's surface interconnect streets are undersized to support the attractions and hotels that have moved in.

Newport/Covington Check out the Newport Aquarium and Newport on the Levee. It is a fun place to check out.
