You can walk from certain Covington hotels to sporting events. If you are thinking of staying in Covington and attending a Reds or Bengals game, you can easily walk from certain Covington hotels to the game instead of driving. All bridges have pedestrian access except the I-75 bridge. There are two main areas of hotels in Covington. The first area is right off the exit from I-75 and is close to Paul Brown Stadium. The second area is around the Northern Kentucky Convention Center and is close to Great American Ballpark. If you are going to the Bengals game, you can walk from the Covington Courtyard, the Covington Holiday Inn, and the Covington Radisson via the US 27 bridge. If you stay at the Holiday Inn or Courtyard, you are probably just as close to Paul Brown Stadium as any of the downtown Cincinnati hotels. If you are going to the Reds game, the two closet hotels in Covington are the Marriott and the Embassy Suites via the Roebling bridge.

I'd avoid it I thought this might be a cute redeveloped tourist town. Well, it is old but it is decrepit. It has the "Mainstrasse", supposedly a salute to its German past, but in reality a gaggle of odd shops running couple of blocks -- there isn't much there a tourist might want. Look to nearby Newport Landing instead.
