Top Local Tips for Overland Park

Towne Center Mall Upscale outdoor mall. Dicks Sporting Goods is a huge sporting goods store with a rock climing wall. Mall has other upscale stores like Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Dean and Deluca, etc.. Also has several regular stores like Abercrombie and the Buckle. Fun place to walk around and shop. Moms and teenage girls are in heaven.

Going to the greyhound races and shopping at Legends. Easy drive to the Legends shopping mall and the Woodlands greyhound racing park just take I-435 North till you see Cabella's and you are at the mall turnoff. We enjoyed the Rainforest cafe, the fountain, and the little red wagon to pull our granddaughter in. Lots of good places to eat. BBQ, bugers and classy joints too. We sampled several. The Greyhound racing is a couple of more exits north at the Lexington exit. No fee to get in so it can be a real fun thing to do and doesn't cost anything. However; if you like to gamble it can cost as little as a dollar for a bet. My sister bet $2.40 and won over a hundred dollars on the Superfecta. It was fun, but had lots of smoking which is bothersome.
