customer service not what was expected

Have stayed SEVERAL times been very happy.Made reservations over phone, told cancelation policy was could cancel up to the day before.Had to cancel two days before, was told no , I had to cancel " a week or two weeks or something " the person who answered the phone stated. This was after I was told I had to have a minimum two night stay, and to call the day before if having to cancel.Im very cautious about making reservations here again. Disapointed, have had such great service up until this point.

Great Rooms, Great Service

The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and up-to-date. This obviously isn't a five star hotel but it is definately better than some of the other hotels in Lawrence. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at the Virginia Inn.

Not what we were expecting for the price

Reserved a "suite" for $135, and was shocked when we arrived. Fairly clean, but without a doubt the worst value per dollar in my travel history. This was a $55 room at best.

My fiance and I stayed at the Virginia Inn in December. The rooms are clean, the location is perfect, the staff is friendly, and overall the stay was very enjoyable. I had no complaints whatsoever. I will continue to stay at Virginia Inn when visiting Lawrence!

Clean room with cable TV, mini-fridge, microwave. Across the street from a Dillon's supermarket. Close to KU and 5 minutes from Mass Street. Laundry room. Excellent rates. Friendly staff that go out of their way to accommodate you. Sonny, his wife and kids do a great job making you feel welcome, and you can tell they take great pride in their business. Is it a 5-star hotel? No. But, if you want a clean room catering to families, and the ability to put a few things in the fridge, pop some popcorn or heat up some microwavable food, and easy access to KU and the freeway, this a your place.
