This is not a hotel to stay at if you like modern, updated rooms and lobby area. This is the type of place that brings you back to the turn of the century. It is a great place to say, cheap rooms, and very attentive staff. It really lets you go back in time with its historic furnature, pictures, etc.

Very rude management! Inept Staff!

I recently contracted a room at The Julien Inn for my grandmother's 85th birthday. I was overcharged for food and beverage and my leftover food was thrown away before I even settled the bill, without my permission. The manager, Michelle Rolling is a poor excuse for a manager. No one was even there to speak to about the problem during the party. When I called the next day she blamed all of her mistakes on me and was extraordinarly rude and insolent. It reminded me of a conversation with my 5-year-old nephew when he doesn't get his way. AWFUL. DO NO spend your money here!

Both adults and kids will find much to see and do including many interactive displays, a fascinating fresh water aquarium and a chance to captain a river barge. It is very entertaining and a fun way to learn about one of the world's greatest rivers. It is one of the best museums in the Midwest.
