Places to Stay in South Bend, IN Stay anywhere OTHER than Holiday Inn! My experience was a net loss of $750. I don't think you can do any worse than that anywhere else in the area. Try the Hyatt Place in Mishawaka instead - much better value overall and - most importantly - NO CRIME!
Places to Stay in South Bend, IN ANYWHERE BUT THE HOLIDAY INN DOWNTOWN! My cost for one night's stay was $750 (vehicle broken into in their undersecured parking garage, hotel refusing to pay for damage and lost property). I'm guessing any other place in town is a better value. Of course, your cost may be less, but I'm never taking that chance again, and I highly recommend you find somewhere else to stay. I for one am taking all future business to another great hotel, the Hyatt Place in Mishawaka. Close to S.Bend but in a much safer part of town, best value I've seen in a hotel in the area so far.
