Each March I and a number of teaching colleagues attend our state's reading conference. We have stayed at the Best Western Clearlake Plaza in Springfield for 2 years now and would recommend this place to the budget-minded conference attendee and for families wishing to visit Springfield. It is just off of the interstate and a quick 10 minute drive from the centre of Springfield. The rooms are clean and the desk staff is helpful. The complimentary breakfast is sufficient and there is a new Starbucks within walking distance of the hotel. I am already planning to book for next year's conference.
