I’m from Canada, and me and my mom went to Chicago just for 2 days. I booked this hotel b/c of its great rate and it said that it was only 10 min. away from downtown which was true (on car though)and I liked the idea of a shuttle service but it doesn't run on Sundays and it only runs at very specific times 3 times per day. Overall, it’s an ok hotel. I'd most likely go there again. It’s really not that bad. It’s not glamorous, but is liveable. There's a bus station 2 blocks away and to get downtown you take the Jackson 6. The only thing about this hotel (if you are racist) that might affect you is its area. Majority are African American. So.. I'm just trying to be honest and helpful. I felt that it was very safe though :) Ps- I thought the staff was very nice and so helpful! They answered so many questions about which buses to take, and locations of different places.
