Gracious, elegant, but too dark

The rooms are all suites, so I had two small rooms, with a cosy feel + a separate door that opens onto another room. since I travelled with my teenage son on this trip, it was ideal for us. The rooms were well-appointed. Two flaws occurred: the decor was mostly chocolate brown and gold--which was elegant, but dark. The second flaw was the bathroom door could not shut entirely.
