Transportation Get city passes online for the metro/bus systems before your trip. Well worth it!!

The Art Institute of Chicago It's not the Met, but this art museum is deceptively large. There are some fantastic master works in there right now, and there is an amazing Asian Art exhibit that really blew my mind. There are things in there carbon dated well into the BC range! Fantastic place to visit, but make it a day trip. When you're done, walk down the Miracle Mile and check out the bean and the gargoyles.
