Top Local Tips for Bloomington
Incredible dining and downtown area On King and Duckworth is a small diner named PI. It is truely amazing. The chef is a very young lady, named Megan, with talent to spare. She makes everything on the spot,,,,I mean everything. Make sure you try the Beer called Storm, especially the Raspberry Wheat. For dinner, hands down it is the Vault. We went to every place in town and around. Great food and service in both places. You will not be disappointed
Stay Downtown We recommend a downtown hotel/Inn so you can walk to everything while in St. John's. Be sure to choose an Inn that offers parking as many don't and that can be a hassle. Make sure you visit Trinity and plan on at least 5 days in NL.
Close to everything... If you love the outdoors (ie. hiking or jogging) and are up to a challenge, head to Signal Hill where there are excellent trails with unique and beautiful sights. If you love shopping & art, you will be around the corner from all the downtown shops & galleries. Also, excellent selection of retaurants downtown, whether you like finer dining or just your average little diners which mostly serve an array of homemade NFLD dishes. And of course, downtown also offers the infamous George Street night life. All of this (and much more) in walking distance. The only time we used a vehicle was for an approximate 5 to 10 min drive to the Mall / Theater. In th end, could not have stayed in a better located!
