Rip off in a big way

I made a reservation at the Ramada inn Bloomington normal using my home phone and cancelled it using a phone card (we were on the road). The Ramada person I spoke to neglected to give me a cancellation number and as a result I was charged for staying there even though I didn't. All attempts to settle this matter including getting the records from the phone card company (who refused to give me a copy of the records even though they admitted there was a record of me calling that area code, because the card remained their property not mine) failed and I paid for a nights stay I never used. As a result of this experience I will never stay at Ramada hotels again!
