A great time reminiscent of
My Wife and young Son spent Memorial Day Weekend 2007 at North Shore Lodge. We loved it! It is rustic yet comfortable and we felt right at home. The staff was friendly and helpful. We brought our own boat and moored it right at the end of the dock within site of our cabin #6 and spent much of the weekend fishing and relaxing. It rained that weekend and we were glad to have a warm, cozy cabin to retreat too. We joked around about it reminding us of Camp North Star from the 70's Bill Murray movie "Meatballs". How North Shore lodge is the 'common mans' retreat and how all the 'well to do's' were up in McCall probably eating caviar and sipping champaign under white twinkle lights, while listening to a 4 piece playing classical melodies. Much like the rich kids at Camp Mohawk in "Meatballs". It was a hoot and we left anxiously awaiting another stay. I will say this, though, the food is quite rustic as well.
