Great service and staff
I was visiting Lewiston in the month of October .nobody seemed to have rooms in the town ..but the Golden Oak Inn ..I had gone through several reviews of the motel and was not very inclined to stay there..but I guess I did not have any other options. So I rented a room with two beds for one night. I went in the room expecting very little out of it ...but to my surprise it was very different than what I read ... the rooms were very huge and very decently cleaned ...as for the staff they were very cooperative and did not have any intentions to rip me off as far as the money is concerned ..(taking in to consideration that no other motel in the town had rooms). My suggestion is believe to only what u see ...:)

Downtown Lewiston doesn’t smell too strongly, but then of course, the Golden Oak Inn is located on the outskirts of Lewiston right across the street from the paper mill. Not only does this provide you with a lovely view of smoke stacks industrial buildings, but the smell permeates everything.
Of course the Golden Oak Inn is a 1 star kind of place to begin with. It’s just a bunch of run down buildings, dirty carpet and old furniture. I’m not one to spend the big bucks on ...Read more
