My friends and I wanted to get away for a birthday retreat for three days and two nights. The hotel website looked nice enough, but we were very disappointed in our visit. We stayed in the Chalet house, and from the reviews it was nice in 2005, but the place is run down! Pulling up to the house the first thing we noticed was the broken glass at the door which had been taped. The place looked like it had been broken into recently, which for three women travelers, is not a comforting thought. Entering through the broken screen door, the place had a horrible smell. We were definitely expecting more since we were paying $250 per night. It was disappointment after disappointment: Light bulbs were burned out, the tv remote was broken, the dvd player had no remote at all, the bathroom doorknob fell off upon touching it, the toilet upstairs was constantly running, the floor was horribly creaky, there were no hair dryers, not enough shower toiletries, and no telephone.
