Half Marathon The Zeitgeist Half Marathon at the beginning of November is a great medium size event for runners. It is well-organized and you get a lot for the registration fee. I paid $40, which included a finisher shirt, hot food after the race, drinks, and door prizes. You have to be present for the door prizes and there are plenty of people who don't stick around. If you do, you have a good chance of being picked for something. Prizes ranged from Pendleton wool blankets to hydration packs to gift certificates to jackets. The course is a little challenging with a couple of good size hills but was a very nice run in the area north of Boise. Plus it's chip-timed so you get your actual time on the course and several comparisons with others in the race (rank overall, gender rank, age group rank, time from gun). It's a fun race and highly recommended.

For the Buffet Lover We ate at Chuck-O-Rama which is one of the better buffets we've been in for American food. It was clean and has long lines during the supper hour. There's lots of parking nearby and a covered sidewalk if you happen to need to wait outside.
