Top Local Tips for Boise

What to visit Summer, spring or fall is the best time to visit Boise. Winter is cold and miserable. Boise has a nice area downtown for shopping and restaurants and Farmers Market/ crafts on Sat. mornings. Boise Art Museum is nice but not very big. It is more like a large gallery and costs $6 a person. The zoo is also $6 a person. (You can visit 12 Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. for FREE so book your next vacation there.) Hands down biggest waste of money is the World Birds of Prey. Very few birds, very small. Total waste of money!

Goldy's for breakfast All we heard before we went to Boise was "try Goldy's!" So we did. And we definitely were not disappointed. It's very close to the hotel and, though we expected a long wait on a Saturday morning, we were seated almost right away. The food was awesome, even for picky eaters. It's a little heavy/greasy, but that's what breakfast is supposed to be.
