Historical Traveller Reviews of Paia Inn Hotel
Delighted with the Paia Inn
My eight year old son and I stayed at a 2 bedroom suite which had a full kitchen and living area, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms with queen size beds. It was tucked away behind a small courtyard and about the equivalent of being 2 buildings back from the street which made it extremely quiet. Loved the kitchen since we could eat any meal there we wanted and therefore cut down on going out every meal which is expensive and sometimes just a lot of trouble with a child.
I love Paia and have been there multiple times so knew already where stores and restaurants were. The town is small and quaint and it is so easy to walk to Flat Bread or Paia Fish Market or one of the local coffee shops for coffee and pastry or sandwiches. A continental breakfast was provided which included scones, sweet rolls and coffee from Anthony's which is a really good coffee shop across the street.
Over all we had an excellent experience and would not hesitate to stay there again.
Great Location and Style
It's the little details that make this place so special. I love the attention to eco friendly products such as the soft bamboo towels and earthy soaps and lotions provided. The location in the heart of quaint laid back Paia is a treat. I loved the friendly greating and flexibility I was able to set up for my check in and check out times. The location cannot be beat if you seek walking access to the dining and shopping of Paia and it's proximaty to world class spots for wind surfing and kite boarding is phenominal. I highly recommend this establishment.
A Wonderful Accident
After a wedding in West Maui my wife, two friends and I had a day to kill before the friends left the islands and we headed to Kaui. One friend, a surfer, wanted to hit the famous break just outside of town and we had heard rumors of and unbelievable fish sandwich - which we found accross the street from the Paia Inn and it was as good as advertised. We decided that the charming property seemed like a perfect place to stay (only later did we find out it was the ONLY place to stay) and we could not have been more correct. The staff was delightful and it is a rare place where the owner carries your luggage to your room and then walks you to the closest beach. After dinner we spent several hours chatting away and drinking beers on the patio while Bob Marley music filled the air. We were only there for a single night, but were still able to enjoy the coffee and muffins the next morning before we left. The Inn was perfectly run and they had only been open a short while so I imagine that as time moves on things will only get better.
The Paia Inn is a very nice hotel and we had a great time staying there on Maui. The Inn staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The coffee and muffins were excellent. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who has the time and extra cash to spend on an upgrade from the usual room. There was a little more street noise than we would have preferred; the off-street parking situation is less than perfect; and we would have expected the foldout couch bed to be more functional for the price we paid for our room. However the staff tried their best to help and we understood that the hotel management was working on these inconveniences as the hotel operation picks up momentum.
Funky little hotel in a great town
I stayed at the Paia Inn with my husband on our last night of our Honeymoon.
We loved the place - very clean, funky, and just a short walk to their private entrance to the beach.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and offered to set us up with paddle board tours, show us the beach etc. We even met the owners just hanging out in the lobby on our way home from a great dinner in town.
I wish we'd stayed longer at the Paia Inn, it would also be a great spot to bring a group and all hang out in the lounge room together.
A great find, and a great town!!
Fantastic little hotel!
My husband and I traveled to Maui and decided to try the Paia Inn for one night. We loved it so much we booked two more nights and would have stayed longer if we'd had the time.
This boutique hotel has it all. It's hip, comfortable, beautifully decorated and is in the center of Paia. The staff and owner couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful.
We highly recommend it and are looking forward to returning soon.
Paia Inn- great boutique hotel with great people!
I have never been compelled to write a hotel review, until I visited the Paia Inn. Although opening just a few months ago, it is already as polished and professional as a luxury hotel chain, with extremely personable and helpful staff. The inn is beautifully decorated with a high-end, beachstyle feel. We met the owner personally, who took the time to show us around, invite us to a party he was throwing and even set us up with a fantastic paddle surf session with Maria Souza (www.standuppaddlesurfschool.com), the first woman to ever tow in to the powerful waves of "Jaws". You will not be disappointed with your stay at the Paia Inn - it is located in central Paia, close to great stores and restaurants. Be sure to check out Flatbread company around the corner from the inn for a tasty wood-fire oven baked pizza. Oh, and ladies- you can leave your shampoo, conditioner, etc at home. This place has great products by Love Inside Out (www.loveinsideout.com).
Paia Inn is fantastic, a perfect stop on the way to Hana or from Hana overnight before a flight out of Kahului airport. 10 minutes to the airport. Very comfortable, hip and stylish with a relaxing vibe. Private beach access, great amenities. Good dining and shopping walking distance. The Inn is nicely decorated with antique Asian furniture. We would highly suggest a stay at the Paia Inn!
Hip style and ambience!
This hotel was surprisingly hip. The decor is very stylish with extreme attention to detail. Staff was great and there were even fresh scones waiting for me when I headed out to the beach in the morning. The zen like courtyard is just gorgeous and there was live music at night. I will never stay anywhere else on the north shore.
We had the greatest time. We visted Maui from Copenhagen and were lucky to find this small boutique hotel for our stay in Paia. Paia is super charming with lots of shops and restaurants and gelato. The Paia Inn is right in the center of the town. We really liked the beach access too. The whole hotel is extra comfortable and has lots of Style. We met the owners who are designers and it shows. There is so much Art in the rooms and lobby it is reminisent of staying at a small hotel in europe. We felt very much at home and will stay again on our next visit. Thanks for making us so comfortable. We are so happy to have found a place to stay that is not one of the big hotels so that we can enjoy the town and walk to everything.
