Outrigger - Dukes and Park Shore Hotel

We stayed at the Outrigger on the Beach when I was in Hawaii five years ago. This year we could not afford to stay there as rates go up so much in the summer but we did manage to eat at Dukes at the Outrigger 5 or 6 times in the week we were there. It was great! The food and drinks, waiters and waitresses, music and eating by the ocean - all things we enjoyed. Ask for Deena and Jake. We stayed at the Park Shore which we enjoyed - it was a very nice hotel and affordable rates. I would definitely stay there again.

A nice hotel

We spent 4 days at this hotel and it was wonderful. The hotel location is awesome, right in the middle of Waikiki and next to the beach. I had an partial ocean view room and the view is awesome. The room is spacious and clean. There's only one problem the room walls are not sound proof. You can hear people from next room talk and laugh. I had to change room on the first night since I couldn't stand the people next door. The beach is beautiful. My wife loved the smell of the complement lotion and shampoo. We want to come back to this hotel next time.

The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were always more then helpful. Restuarants in the hotel were reasonably priced and the food was very good. The hotel was right off the beach. If I had one complaint it would be that the beach area was always crowded. I had a partial ocean view room with a king size bed...sofa..large bathroom..with a safe..and refrigerator. One hint...the 4th pillow is in the bottom drawer

OK but nothing special

Just spent a week at the Outrigger Waikiki on the beach.

The room was large, on the top floor and had a good partial ocean front view. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly on the concierge desk.

On the negative side, they seem to have am ant problem at least in the room we stayed in. This isn't unusual in a tropical climate but was worse than I've seen before in a 4 star hotel. The food in the hotel was mediocre by US standards except for Chucks which was good but not great. When the hotel is full the place is crowded and it's difficult to get a place by the pool during the day and an outside table (so that my girlfriend could smoke) in the evening.

On balance an average hotel only just deserving a 4 star rating. If I went back to Waikiki I would probably try somewhere else.

More Than We Ever Dreamed of Getting

From the moment we stepped into Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach we were welcomed and pampered our entire stay. The Desk Clerk upgraded us to a Partial Ocean View as a Courtesy, and our remodeled room was spacious, clean, and gave us a great view of the Ocean and Beach. We stayed for 9 days and each day was better than the one prior. The Staff is to be commended and a "Special Thanks to Troy for all your help in directions each morning as we would venture out in our rented Jeep". My Wife and I both agree that Duke's, Chucks Steak House, along with Sunset Terrace, were fantastic places to dine and enjoy the view of the ocean.
Outrigger Waikiki represents everything you expect a Hotel in Paradise to be. Mahalo to all the staff, we will see you next year.

Happy at The Outrigger

We just finished a 23 day stay at the Outrigger on the beach or "Main Outrigger " as it is called there . I am happy to say that excellent newly renovated rooms , a friendly and helpful staff , and a location on Waikiki Beach that cannot be beat , combined to make this extended stay wonderful . The hotel attracts a wide clientele , including many repeat visitors and local people . The one thing they almost all seem to have in common is , they are happy at the Outrigger .

While staying at hotel with two other ladies 44 and48 myself being43,they called one morning complained we were too loud. one night at7:45 security came to room said they had another complaint. I don't understand what people do at 7:45 at that time of night that peaple cant laugh.We would leave the room by 7:30 or so to avoid getting complaints. The hotel was great but the walls must be thin or the people very stuffy.The hotel was clean service was great. It wasn't like we were having a party we were just laughing about the sos show we had just come from which was great also.

They made my first trip to Hawaii so memorable. They upgaded our room to an Ocean view without any additional charges. The staff was so great and professional. The room was large and always clean. It was just so perfect. We plan to go back next year and stay there again.

We stayed at the newly renovated Outrigger Waikiki Beach hotel from 07/27/03 through 08/05/03. When we arrived we were met with much graciousness and hospitality. We were sent to our room which was beautiful but a tad on the small side as well as on the side closest to the Royal Hawaiian hotel and right above Dukes, ocean front. We asked if we could move to meet our requests made at time of our reservation to an oceanfront room closer to Diamond Head. We were accomodated to a room that was beyond belief. A seperate glass shower and a jacuzzi was in the room at no extra cost to us. We found out that the rooms that are ocean front that have two double beds are larger rooms than the rooms with king size beds. All rooms ocean front that have the last two digits of 24 have the best views and have the seperate shower and jacuzzi (which overlooks the ocean). The room is slightly smaller with a king size bed but absolutely beautiful). These particular rooms have a 210 degree view which includes a full view of Diamond Head. All I can say is wow! We booked the room with an entertainment club card that you can buy every year in Barnes and Noble for $30.00 or so in an Entertainment Club book. Our rate was 50% off the rack rate which was the best rate possible. My wife and I had turn down service with a gift on our pillow every night and use of a safe all free. By far this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in and my wife and I have stayed in some nice ones. You will not be disapointed. The food is reasonably priced and quite good. The staff at the hotel was awesome. This trip to Hawaii was just beautiful. This is not our first trip and will not be our last. For months we viewed this website for information on the hotel. I thank everyone that gave their input for it helped us make the best decision we could have made. The ocean is at your feet at the Outrigger Waikiki!

Society of Seven Go to this show. You won't be disappointed. This is a fun thime for all ages and they never stop. The dinner part is ok and the food will suit everyone. This is one thing I would see over and over again if I went back to Hawaii

Cheese Cake Factory Always packed at night go between 4 and 5pm get a beeper and sit at the bar while you wait.
