| It's a room |
| Don't get me wrong. If all you are looking for is a room on Waikiki, then the Hale Koa is for you. I was disappointed by the room. We stayed in room 204, apparently one of the only rooms with a lovely view of the side of the roof to the lobby. There was exactly one outlet for use (that was not in the bathroom) and the tangle of cords plugged into the outlet behind the dresser was disturbing. The outlet in the bathroom kept tripping the GFI circuit. The room decor looked as if it had not been updated in many years (especially the bathroom) although it was clean. Our A/C did not do much; we had a fan brought to the room. Apparently, we were also on the only floor without an ice maker or laundry facility. The laundry facility we used on the 5th floor was about 120 degrees. Oh, did I forget to mention the enormous rat that was seen attempting to make its way through the revolving door in the lobby? Like I said, if you're looking for a clean, affordable room on the beach...go for it. Other than that, look elsewhere. |
