We recently returned from a weeks stay in LaQuinta hotel in Valdosta GA. It was our first stay in this chain. My wife & I were very impressed by this property & especially the staff. Very Clean inside and out, Very convenient location, Hot breakfast, incredibly comfortable bed & pillows, very nice linens & towels. This place is obviously run by people who care about your stay. We have stayed elsewhere in Valdosta & find this not only the best value, but clearly a cut above the others.

I stayed at this La Quinta for only one night while on the road from Atlanta to Miami. It was above average - room was clean and very spacious - beds were comfortable. Check-in at front desk was quick and agent was super friendly. I requested a room on the ground floor near an exit door since I have a small dog - it made it very convenient to take her out. I am starting to stay in La Quintas lately because they are very pet-friendly - I used to frequent Hamptons but they are usually NOT pet-friendly - and I have found that most of the La Quintas are a nice surprise and mostly the rooms are in better or equal condition as the Hamptons - so La Quintas pet policy is a big plus.

The location near the highway can be a little noisy - but it wasn't a problem for us. It is at a very busy exit, but it gives you excellent choices for all kinds of restaurants - from fast food to Outback and Hooters which are both right next door. We were tired and didn't want to go out and were able to order an Italian dinner from a local restaurant that delivered to the hotel.

We didn't have the complimentary breakfast, but the lobby area and the breakfast area looked very nice.

I would positively stay again when in Valdosta.

Great Spot for Traveler with pet !!

Although quite near the interstate, the hum of the air conditioner deafened the traffic noise. Our stay was a great experience and one that we'd plan to enjoy again when traveling to Tampa. The breakfast was such a wonderful surprise with ample choices!! Even the other dogs were nice!!

What a pleasant experience we had! Our room and the entire inn was CLEAN, the personnel was friendly and very helpful, the breakfast buffet was excellent, the afternoon cookies, juice, milk, and cocktails were a special treat, the exercise room was well maintained, the pool and the surrounding area was clean and comfortable. I am very hard to please and we had no complaints. Good Job!!!!! Highly recommended to all travelers.

Beware of the Traffic Noise!

We stayed at this hotel on a stop-over from a long road trip. We booked it based on the reviews from this website.

A lot about the La Quinta Inn and Suites was nice. When we arrived they were having free cocktails in the lobby, and there was a nice, free, breakfast bar in the morning (do not, however I repeat, do not eat the eggs.) Our room (we got a suite) was big and clean. We had a living area and a sleeping area with a tv in each. This meant hubby and I could watch different things if we wanted to. A plus! heh heh The hotel is also located right next to an Outback Steak House. We walked there for dinner.

The main problem I had with this hotel was it's proximity to the highway. When we had our TV on, hubby and I did not notice that the highway noise was bad. When we turned off our TV, and layed down to sleep, it WAS SO LOUD! I am not exaggerating!! If we ever stay here again, we will definately ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. It might be slightly better on that side.

Our stay at this motel was great. The room was clean and it seemed as though we were at home. We traveled with our pet and had no problems at all. Our room was away from the traffic noise so it was very quiet.
The lobby employees were great and very helpful. I would stay there again.

Wonderful stopover to Florida

We were pleasantly surprised with our stopover on our way to Orlando!!!
The room, foyer, and grounds were wonderfully kept. Breakfast was hot and had many selections. The staff was friendly and on the ball. Many people had pets and they were treated as valued members of the family. We will make this an annual stopover on our way to our timeshare. We booked on the internet and had no problem with reservations (we arrived after 9pm). We had an excellent stay!!!!

I was very impressed with this property. I made several calls requesting information from their front desk staff before I made a reservation for our family (2 adults, 2 children). What impressed me so much was that the staff members I spoke to were so enthusiastic about the property that I booked a room for the night. The outside of the buildings and the grounds are meticulously maintained. It doesn't stop there. From the lobby to the rooms, I couldn't find anything wrong with how this place is kept. We checked in before heading over to Wild Adventures for the day. There were no poolside rooms available, but the staff promised if one did open up they would hold it for us. They came through with their promise. The room was spacious and the furnishings appeared brand new. We asked for 4 additional pillows, and someone appeared at our door within fifteen minutes. The manager's reception from 5-7 pm Monday through Saturday is a real treat, for both adults and children. The breakfast is more than adequate and the buffet is well stocked. The next morning we needed more towels, and even housekeeping went out of their way for us. The service here is exceptional in every department. The location is also wonderful. There are 3 major restaurants and 3 fast foot restaurants within walking distance. We will stay here again on our next trip to Valdosta.

The reservation that was not honored

Beware of making reservations at this and many of the LQ’s hotels. My wife and I have been loyal LQ users for many years until we took a week long vacation to Disney this year. On the way down, we were weary from driving and found that Valdosta, GA was a good area to stop for the night. I could not immediately find a LQ close by, so I called reservations to find the closest hotel. Well, it was only 2 miles away, so we were overjoyed when they immediately made a reservation and confirmation over the phone while we sat in the car. Now, it’s almost 11PM and we arrive at the hotel to get our room. A young gentleman(Daniel Warren) tells me that a room is not available for us even though we have a confirmation number. I argued with him for a few minutes and then asked for his manager. This (kid) was maybe in his early 20’s suddenly “claimed” to be the manager. Now, I’m not that old myself and very tired at this point and realize that I am probably being lied to by this employee. I decided to call guest relations and was told that they were closed for the evening and I was being lied to by this employee who was claiming to be the manager. But, I did speak with a customer service rep who agreed that there was no one to tell me why I was able to make a reservation and why this kid said he was not going to give us our room. Please make your own judgements. That night, we stayed a mile away in a Hampton Inn and was blown away with the price, the value, and especially the customer service. I will visit their chain again! Funny thing, while checking in the Hampton Inn, I met two other couples who were here only because of the poor service they had received from the LQ in Valdosta. I urged them to do the same as I am doing in leaving a well-deserved review for Mr. Warren(aka manager).

We only stayed one night, but we were extemely happy with this hotel.
We got a suite, which was very roomy, well appointed and clean. The hotel is right next to the Interstate, but very quiet and safe feeling.
Interior corridors and the swimming pool area on the inside of the complex (outdoor pool, but surrounded by the hotel. It was very nice and clean with plenty of comfortable places to relax. They serve complimentary beer, wine and mixed drinks from 5-7, with soft drinks and pretzels and cookies for the kids. Complimentary full hot breakfast in the morning was great. We are a family of 5 and this saved us a lot of money and trouble. Also convenient to a couple of good restaurants (walking distance). We stayed while visiting Wild Adventures and would definitely recommend it to anyone!!
