On checking in, I requested a 12noon checkout time, one hour later than the 11am time that was posted. The clerk told me I would have to phone the front desk in the morning. At 8am, I called the front desk. The clerk reluctantly agreed to a 12noon checkout time. At 11:05am, I received a call telling me that checkout was at 11am. I reminded the clerk that I had requested a 12noon checkout. He reluctantly agreed to 11:45 (as if were were negotiating). At 11:15, another employee knocked on my door and asked if I planned on staying another day. Feeling harassed, I left early.

Upon checking out, I noticed a $2 "utility surcharge" on my bill. I was told that this was for "electricity and cable TV). I stay at hotels with the assumption that electricity is part of the room rate! I will not stay at this hotel again.
