Top Local Tips for Savannah
A great three days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Park your car and walk everywhere. There is something to discover on every block. Everyone is nice and willing to help. Talk to the locals in the square the information they share is great. Everyone is friendly. If you love history or just love walking this is the place to go.
Things to skip Avoid the Shrimp Factory and The Pink House. Both had terrible service, bad food and vastly overrated. The Pink House, additionally, cost far too much for the quality of the food. I enjoy leisurely dining, but 3 hours for a simple 3 course meal is too much. A new waitress didn't help, but the excuses were pointless; "we're remodeling and the kitchen is next door" and "we just had a tour bus show up with 50 people and we can't keep up." No to mention a poor attitude exhibited by serving staff in both venues.
Hearse Tour go to the olde pink house for supper, and definitely take the hearse tour!!! ITs only 30 bucks and so worth it. Olde harbour inn is tough to find, but once you do, you never want to leave.
