Beautiful room, excellent service

the room we stayed in was very classy. it had been remodled since the last time we had stayed there. the bed was the most comfortable i've ever slept in. the guest service is excellent. they make us feel very valued. also the parking attendant let us know that we gave her too much money. we appreciated her honesty. we absolutely recommend this hotel.

As always, we love staying at the Westin Atlanta Airport Hotel. But this trip we enjoyed a lovely surprise of great renovations in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The lobby is so comfortable and family friendly. Our suite was absolutely beautiful, clean and elegant. I particularly liked the fragrance and quality of the bathroom items (soap, shampoo and even tissue) was of superior quality to that of other comparable hotels we have stayed. The new large flatscreen tvs were positioned nicely for great viewing whether on the couch or in bed. But I save the best for last. I am in love with "heavenly" beds and bedding. It feels so luxurious to lie down in a bed with so many pillows and of such great quality. We live in California so don't need the heavy blankets here, but when we move to Kentucky next year, I plan to buy one of the kingsized beds along with the full set of bedding. These beds are THAT good. We mustn't forget the staff, who are top of the line. From housekeeping to servers to attendants to upper management, we have found nothing but courtesy, friendliness and respect. What a wonderful and helpful staff. Thank you so much and we look forward to staying with you again in the near future.

Westin Is Getting Better

My group have been staying at the Westin Atlanta Airport for more than 10 years.
The hotel have gone through some renovations and its absolutely beautiful.
The Staff is absolutely Superb.
The food is another matter.I never had chicken wings so small.
I don't feel the food is worth the price we paid.
My overall stay at this location was excellent. The shuttle will take guest to other eatery that is close to the hotel.They will take you to the airport so you can take the train to downtown Atlanta.

Have stayed at this hotel before but WOW, what a difference from the last time I stayed at the Westin, this hotel looked like it was brand new.

Great new lobby area, the Westin Fitness is a welcome addition, great multi-level gym with weights, workout balls, plenty of machines.

Had dinner in the restaurant, lobby bar was packed, they have a Wii right there if your into that. Liked the eco-friendly menu items, nice touch.

Our company had two meetings at the Westin Atlanta Airport near the end of 2008, and both experiences were excellent! The staff were just unbelievably friendly and helpful. We even had one of our employees lose her diamond tennis bracelet, and one of the hotel set-up crew found it, turned it in to security! It was just the frosting on the cake as far as how we felt about the staff and service at this hotel - they were "top notch" and they have excellent chefs on hand with fabulous food that can be catered to our healthy choices. We'll be back as often as we can!

wow!-great remodel-love this hotel

This newly remodeled hotel is now State of the Art, the BEST in the Atlanta Airport area, HD flat screen TV's, heavenly beds,new gym equipment, great people and customer service. The people are so friendly and nice, I feel special from the minute I get on the airport shuttle and walk in the door. I travel to Atlanta frequently for business, and will always stay at the Westin now! Two thumbs up -all the way at this westin!

Good and Bad

A nice Hotel - not a 4-star! Our room was very nice and well decorated although it was discouragingly small for a 4-star hotel. We had a king bed which was nice and "Heavenly" but the pillows were more "Hellish". The shower was amazing by far the best part. The hardware in the bathroom was nice but the toilet handle looked like it was dropped in corrosive. It was rusted and nasty. There were several hairs on the bed, washclothes, and kleenexs which was gross and it is embarrasing to charge for wi-fi when coffee shops, fast-food restaraunts, and even 2 and 3 star hotels offer it free! Instead of trying to be competitive, why not try to stand out. The paper (free in most hotels) was $.75, and we had to park in an underground garage that was filthy and hardly lit. I did not feel like I was treated as a valued guest in that aspect. I will not stay here again. i have stayed at the Crown Plaza closer to the airport for less money and it is by far a better establishment.

Great Upgrade

I had a work Christmas party in the area. I used my points for a free night so I could relax and not fight traffic.

I was upgraded using my SPG Gold Status to a Jr. Suite. It was great!! So much room!!

I have stayed at this hotel before the renovation----it is much nicer now.

I also like the new soaps! They smell so good!

Conveniently located. Typical Westin

I have used this hotel many times. We usually stay at this Westin the night before our flight from the Atlanta airport. Its location is very convenient, services are reliable, staff is friendly, and rooms are very comfortable.

I usually book this hotel through the priceline.com. Just bet for a 4-start hotel in the airport area. Four out of 5 times you will get a room at this Westin. Price is in the $80 to $90 range.

Hotel is conveniently located off the interstate 85. Hartsfield International is less than 5 minutes away. Hotel has a secure spacious parking lot. Use valet parking if you want to splurge. If you are flying out, you can leave your car at the hotel and take a free shuttle to the airport. Daily rate is about the same as the airport parking.

Check-in is always flawless. Staff is available at any time of the night. Even though my reservations are prepaid through priceline, more often than not starwood card gets me a room upgrade. Renovated rooms are superb, large, and clean. "Heavenly" bedding is plush. Bathrooms always have plenty of towels and a robe.

Room service food is typically pricy and limited, but tastes good. During our last visit, the restaurant area was under construction. Breakfast bar was set on the second floor. Food selection was sparse. Service was prompt. You can also grab a coffee and a snack at the lobby. Food, parking, and extras prices are on par with similar quality hotels. If you want free breakfast and free internet, stay at the Holiday Inn.

Overall, this hotel is as good as you can expect from most modern Westin hotels. I like it and will definitely use it again during our trips. Once the renovations are completed, the hotel will only get better.

What a bed!

I got the $80 hotwire deal. What a bargain!

I typically stay at 3-star hotels, so I am not really used to 4-star service, and I'm often uncomfortable with too much service. But the staff at the Westin really stepped up and gave us excellent service, and excellent advice on what to see and do in Atlanta. Yet they didn't go overboard with the phony insincere stuff that I see in so many hotels. They were really good! I will definitely stay at the Westin if I get to Atlanta again.

After having read the reviews, we chose to not eat in the restaurant. There was a great little pub just down the street, where we had good, casual food.

And then there was the bed. I have never slept in such a comfortable bed! The beds are so good that you can buy the bed along with the bedding from them. I would be tempted if the bedding came in colors other than white.

We had a great stay at an incredible price.

Top Local Tips for Atlanta

MARTA I am from a small town in SW AR> No public transportation. The MARTA train was an easy and inexpensive way to get around the city. I even rode home alone at 11.30 on a Saturday night!

City Pass Before travelling buy your City Pass online, you can pick it up when you go to your first attraction. For $59 you get tickets for 6 main attractions: Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Tour, High Museum of Art, plus your choice between Zoo Atlanta (new baby panda!) or Atlanta History Center and another choice between Fernbank Museum (dinosaur skeletons) or Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Do not miss the excellent view from the Sundial Bar on top of Westin Downtown Atlanta. Instead of paying the $3 fee, have a drink an enjoy beautiful sunset.

MARTA You can get a free shuttle service to the airport and take the MARTA to anywhere in Atlanta. Just make sure you find out where the pick-up location is at the airport
