Awesome Airport Renaissance

from suze_shoes
true to form, this hotel did not disappoint. from the moment we checked in, we experienced impeccable service. our room was spotless and quiet, except for some muffled planes landing and taking off nearby (hey!it is the airport!) the high speed internet was easy to use althought there were a few delays that we believe were due to the hotel server. we enjoyed dinner our first night with southern paced, but well mannered and fine service. Food was definitely above average. in the morning, i went for a walk, (sadly, it is not a pedestrian friendly area) and when i returned, asked the "greeter" where i could pick up a glass of milk to take an aspirin. he directed me to the restaurant and when i arrived, was coming toward me with a carton of milk and a glass! NOW THAT'S SERVICE! breakfast the next day was cooked to order with changes for a restricted diet easily addressed. The pace of service was a little quicker, but just as warm and friendly. porter came for bags immediately. this hotel is a perfect choice if you need to stay at the airport in atlanta.

Great staff

Had to stay near the airport recently for an early flight out with an elderly relative. Got a marvelous room on the tenth floor practically ON one of the Atlanta airport runways. There was a pleasant, very private balcony with beautiful chairs and table. The room was very clean and quiet. But the high point was the staff, from the valet, the bellmen, the front desk, the room service to the cleaning staff. I told my husband that the next time we are in Atlanta we should stay at the Renaissance at the airport instead of at the Buckhead Ritz-Carlton!

Wondeful place. Very nice room

Stayed here my honeymoon night on July 2nd. Great place. Took the shuttle to dinner and it worked out perfectly. Had a room with a view of the runway....Wow!

Great Airport Hotel

from messedup365
This hotel was very nice in many ways, The shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion were "Bath and Body Works". ("Lemongrass and Sage" and "Sunflower and Grapefruit"). The price for our room was 99 dollars, not including the $15 or so of tax. The hotel employees were friendly. The check-in took around only 4 or 5 minutes. The room we stayed in was a balcony room. The airplanes weren't very loud. When the glass doors were open, they were loud. The balcony's looked directly over the concourses at the Hartsfield Airport. For those who haven't flown before, the concourses are the runways on which the flights leave. And also, the shuttles at any of the hotels are recommended. It is very frustrating to drive and park and walk a mile to the airport. The shuttle at the Renaissance got us to the airport in about 2 minutes, and pulled us directly in front of the airport (15 feet from the front doors). The beds at the hotels were very nice. (Lots better than your average 2 or 3 star hotel). The room actually had some bright colors in it, which I wasn't expecting. The beds were lime green. The bathroom was yellow. I liked having a hotel that didn't just have neutral colors. I didn't eat at the restaurant there, so I can't tell you how that aspect of the hotel is. The bar had a good many people in it, so it must have been good. The lobby is really a neat sight. The elevator backs are glass, so you can peer out over the gigantic lobby as you rose to your floor. Well, in a nutshell, I don't like to pay 100 dollars for a room a night, but I think that it was worth it. Everything about the hotel was nice. That's about all I can remember to tell about the hotel.

Very Good

I am always wary of airport hotels, especially when the rate is good. The reviews here made me take the chance. Very good place. Stayed 2 nights. Comfortable, quiet room. Surprisingly friendly people considering it is Atlanta.

Had dinner at the restaurant one night with a co-worker. Pretty good. The hotel bar looks out on the airport runways and is kind of neat for vegging

I was in a room opposite of the airport, so noise was no issue. My co-worker was on the airport side and said it did not bother him.

Maybe I ask for too much, but just give me free wireless access everywhere in the hotel.

Nice Hotel. Good Location

My wife, 6 year old daughter and I stayed at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel on our way home from a spring break trip to Florida. I have stayed in this hotel several times for business and thought my 6 year old would enjoy watching the planes at ATL. This hotel gets two thumbs up from my daughter and her parents. We secured a room on the runway side. The outside glass is thick and noise is limited. Room was very comfortable. We ate the Sunday breakfast buffet and it was fantastic. This hotel is good for business and families (especially if you have children that like planes)

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel close to airport, clean gym and pool area, breakfasts are excellent although may be considered expensive by many.

Loved it.

We have stayed here twice, the last time being October 2004. Clean, beautiful rooms, good food, great breakfast buffet. Be sure to ask for a room with balcony on the runway side so you can see the planes take off and land. You can leave your car for $6.00 per night and the shuttle will take you right to the airport and pick you up. Everyone has always been very nice and helpful here. We do use our Marriott Points to pay for the room which is wonderful. We live just east of Atlanta but love this set up in that we go the night before, relax, and don't have to worry about getting to the airport in traffic.

eh... its ok. getting worn down

Booked on Priceline and this hotel was just ok. I stayed here Thursday night 12/9 for $45, so I cant complain. The hotel is a little poorly decorated, so dont expect a lavish breathtaking hotel. But its nice and its clean and very cheap for the price I paid, so I cant complain.

The room itself (I got a runway view) was kind of nice and pretty clean. It was mediocre in quality, but the beds were comfortable and the carpet looked clean so I wasnt grossed out. Got my own balcony overlooking the runway (which is REALLY close to the hotel) - and with the door shut, you dont hear much.

The bathroom is old, mildewy and kind of gross - but if you have shower shoes, you'll be ok.

Not bad. Great food with room service. I was a little impressed :)

Renaissance is wold class!

from A TripAdvisor Member
My husband and I stayed here before catching a flight out of Atlanta. Considering its closeness to the airport I was expecting a sleepless night because of the air noise, but was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were large and comfy, the bar area was convenient and cozy, the room service with world class, and I didn't hear a single airplane the entire stay! I highly recommend the Renaissance!
