Top Local Tips for Tallahassee
Now I know why they call Tallahassee the Pretty run-down, seedy area, home to Greyhouse Bus Depot and Homeless shelter. Not much else to do. Nice park -- Lake Ella--down the block, otherwise very limited places to eat or shop.
worst hotel Mid September we stayed at Doubletree hotel Tallahassee as an Australian distributor for one of Florida's well respected manufacturers. Hats off to the business people we visited they really out did themselves with hospitality. Pity we can't have good things to say about Doubletree, our 2 night stay was a disaster and have to wonder how they stay in business. Water from condensation running down the walls of the room. Zero ventilation in the bathroom. Sometimes hot water sometimes not. Temperature outside 87 degrees and so cold in the restaurant we wore overcoats and eventually walked out half frozen and dined at a near by deli, complaints fell on deaf ears. To make matters worse we were double charged to our credit card for the 2 night stay and after 15 days still can't get a reply or refund from management, we have been forced to apply to Visa to have the second transaction of $255.30 cancelled. Doubletree is a disgrace to your city and it's a shame good business people in Tallahassee are subjected to the un-professional, ignorant beings that pass them selves as hotel Managers. We will come back to Tallahassee but defiantly not to Doubletree Morrie Walton 200 Wongawallan Drive Wongawallan 4210 Queensland Australia
