Looks great from outside; close enough to beaches and dining. Front desk left a bit to be desired: had asked for a quiet room, but got one on the street side. Met a lot of resistance when requested a change. Housekeeping people VERY accommodating, polite, and welcoming. Slowest elevator on the planet! Good continental breakfast. Room in need of physical repair: broken plaster, rust stains, but otherwise clean with good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. Good for the price. Would stay again if I had to.

Longboat or Longwood I can't remember the name of the island, but the shopping, and entertainment was fantastic. Stop by the Martini bar on the block of clubs, great drinks and service.

Segway Tour There is a company that do Segway tours of Sarasota, they are really fun and easy to ride and our guide was plesant and knowledgable too. You will feel like a star when riding around as everyone looks and takes photos of you.
