We have been visiting the Makai for about 30 years. The condition of the property is very very poor in recent years. The facade over the pool area has fallen, the paint is peeling everywhere and it's only been a couple of years since the color change. The concrete walkway is deteriorating. The over all appearance of the facility is deplorable. The wood trim in the bathrooms are rotted around the air condtioning vents. I could go on and on but I am sure you are aware of the condition of The Makai. However, I would like to comment on the staff. They are very pleasant and always available when we have a concern that they are able to correct. We are here at least once a year if not more often. We would like to continue staying at the Makai Sincerely, Sherry Gerhart

The worst - Never again

The only good thing about this hotel was the view otherwise it is the worst and dirtiest hotel we've ever been to. Cockroaches and other bugs in the room and around pool; jacuzzi was filthy as was elevator, corridors and everywhere. Very, very noisy and simply disgusting.
